Window blocks

I almost like this one. My eye keeps moving noticing windows open or shut, things similar or different.

  1. Noticing small details, as you mentioned, is the path to seeing creatively. This image reminds me of Romare Bearden's collage "The Block", an entire city block illustrating "life" and surprises happening in various windows. http://www.nga.gov/feature/bearden/170-101.htm. When I enlarged the image it's interesting seeing the four balconies sitting atop the white vertical rectangles, that all have the same grills, but only one lid is open, breaking up the pattern. Looking at this image makes me wonder who lives behind each window, reminiscent of Jimmy Stewart in Hitchcock's "The Rear Window"!
